Our latch sets offer a simple fastening operated with a small decorative knob which lifts up and down to open and close cupboard doors. The latch bar is restricted by the staple pin or screw on staple provided (the unused pin can be discarded). Suitable for single side access only and fully universal for use on the left or right hand side of the door application.
Our Shakespeare latch is intricately designed and is a highly decorative alternative to thumblatches or cottage latches and will enhance any internal or external setting. This comes complete with two handles, one for either side of the door. On the inward face of the door the ring turn and latch bar should be fitted, along with the provided spindle which passes through the door to connect both ring turns. When the ring is turned this lifts the latch bar to open the door.
Pewter Patina Finish - (For Internal or External Use)
Our pewter finish is elegant and beautifully highlights the texture of the steel. The unique and complex process runs deep into the metal resulting in an unmatched contrast of texture and colour. This finish has been salt tested to 480 hours, which meets grade 5 British Standard. It has excellent anti-corrosive properties but we recommend that this finish is wiped with a lightly oiled cloth from time to time which will remove harmful deposits and maintain its original condition.
